Paula Sutton

Paula Sutton is a stylist, writer, and influencer. 13 years ago Paula left her job in fashion publishing and moved from south London to Hill House in Norfolk with her young family. She started a blog detailing her experiences which grew into an Instagram account celebrating all things vintage across interiors, gardens, cookery and lifestyle. Each post is imbued with Paula’s trademark exuberant and creative style.

Now with over 600,000 followers, Paula can either be found in designer wear on the red carpet, hosting friends at her beautiful Norfolk family home, or in her wellies weeding her vegetable patch. Paula has been featured in Sunday Times Style magazine, the Daily Telegraph and the New York Times and she has been a guest on BBC Radio 4’s Saturday Live programme.

Paula is also a successful author. Having published Hill House Living: The Art of Creating a Joyful Life in 2021, in April 2024 Paula published her first novel, a ‘cosy-crime’ whodunnit, The Potting Shed Murder. Billed as ‘Miss Marple for the 21st Century,’ Paula is now embarking on her second novel.

Paula’s talk will take place at Kelling Home & Friends at Creake Abbey at 9.30am on Tuesday 17th September.

Located at Creake Abbey's rural retail destination, our beautifully decorated pop-up shop is the brainchild of Kelling Designs, the award-winning interior design studio founded by Norfolk’s own Emma Deterding working from both Norfolk and Chelsea.

Emma will host the morning and, following Paula’s talk, will open the discussion up to an informal Q&A, giving guests a unique opportunity to get to know one of Norfolk’s leading social media influencers.

Guests will be welcomed with coffee, Buck’s Fizz and pastries at 9.30am and Paula’s talk will start soon after. Once the Q&A has finished, guests are invited to stay and enjoy lunch at additional cost, in the Creake Abbey café, rounding off a fascinating and inspiring morning.

‘I am honoured to have been invited to speak at Kelling Home & Friends about all my favourite things – the positive power of Instagram and the friends I’ve been lucky enough to gain through @hillhousevintage. I passionately believe that Instagram is a real source for good, bringing warmth, laughter and community to so many. I’m also keen to share my experience of writing my first novel and the challenges of writing a second one too. Lastly - a view I share with the wonderful Kelling Designs team – how fabulous, creative interiors can transform your living space into one of joy and inspiration. I’m delighted the event is in aid of The Literacy Procharity, an important local cause that supports the vital need for improved literacy in its many forms – be it online or in print.’
